It isn’t until you own the artwork that you realize something. It can be pronounced, often though, it’s quite subtle. It’s late a night, the lights are dimmed, perhaps the moonlight casts a glow in your home. Then you notice your art on the wall. It occurs to you that you’ve only really looked at it during the day. Suddenly you’re looking at something familiar but in a new light, literally and figuratively. Then the moment comes, you realize you’ve really only seen half of this piece because something about it transforms at night. The entire vibe is different, and so is your experience. If you’re like me, this brings on a whole new appreciation for the work, a chance to fall in love with it again. This realization is the inspiration behind Third Shift, a Late Night Gallery Experience where my doors will be open until 11pm.

Third Shift is no different than normal operating hours, except the way you experience the artwork. The gallery environment will be curated with lighting and music creating a unique vibe that can only be experienced after the sunsets.

I happen to be a bit of a night owl, after many late night works at the studio, I could no longer ignore just how different and special everything becomes. I might as well open the doors.
