The Process:
This piece begins as a high-resolution photograph of Cleveland’s Willow Avenue Lift Bridge. Through a mix of color manipulation, textural layering, and geometric re-composition, the image evolves into something beyond photography—surreal yet grounded in place. Every shape, tone, and overlay is intentional, creating a dynamic tension between structure and abstraction.
Chromaluxe Aluminum + Dye Sublimation:
The artwork is created using dye sublimation, a process that infuses the image directly into a specially coated aluminum panel. This ensures archival quality, scratch resistance, and museum-grade color that won’t fade. Unlike traditional prints that sit on the surface, this method embeds the image within the metal itself, resulting in depth, vibrancy, and a finish that responds beautifully to changing light.
